Building Trust for Sustainable Growth in a Connected World

By Sunil Kr. Badal, Founder & CEO, Kennies Data Center

In today’s hyper connected world, trust has become the backbone of business growth. Every transaction, collaboration, and innovation depends on one simple expectation that data will remain secure, systems reliable, and operations continuous.

According to the Uptime Institute, over half of data centre operators have experienced at least one outage in the past three years, with the cost of a single major disruption now exceeding $100,000. Each incident doesn’t just interrupt services, it erodes confidence, slows innovation, and damages reputation. At the same time, cyberattacks are increasing in sophistication, targeting critical infrastructure that keeps digital economies running.

Amid these risks lies another growing pressure – Sustainability. Data centres collectively account for roughly 2.5 to 3.7% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and analysts warn that this number could approach 8% by 2030 if unchecked*. This makes it clear that resilience can no longer come at the planet’s expense.

The way forward is a responsible blend of trust, technology, and sustainability transition as renewable source of energy from traditional sources as DC are huge power intensive and that adds to GHG problem. True security is not about more firewalls, it’s about smarter design and the systems that are energy efficient, self-aware, and capable of learning from every data point. When enterprises build infrastructure that protects both uptime and the environment, they create a foundation for lasting confidence and competitive growth.

The impact of this shift is profound. When businesses experience fewer outages, they maintain momentum. When data flows securely and sustainably, teams can focus on innovation rather than firefighting. When infrastructure is transparent and reliable, clients and stakeholders gain confidence, and that confidence becomes a competitive advantage.

In the end, technology is not just about powering servers, it’s about empowering people and progress. As we move toward a more connected and responsible digital future, the real differentiator will be how we use innovation to build trust and create shared growth.

At Kennies Data Center, I’ve always believed that our role is not to simply host data, but to partner with clients in shaping sustainable, intelligent, and future ready infrastructure that grows with their ambitions.
